Northop Hall Girls FC Under 10s
Northop Hall Girls Under 10s – May 2018. Just finished playing Broughton Park FC in a friendly.

2018 news update: we are looking for a further 3 girls who will be in year 6 in September 2018 to join our Under 11s. Girls are invited to come along to training at Rowleys Drive on Wednesday nights in August 6-7pm. Come and have a go! All abilities welcome. Bring a bottle of water and some shin pads. Free of charge.

Northop Hall Girls FC are running an Under 11s team in 2018-2019.

If you would like to enquire about a place for your daughter please email under11s@northophallgirlsfc.co.uk.  Our annual subs are very low and the club is booming – over 130 girls and ladies are signed up to play in our various teams.

Training is currently on a Wednesday at the old Corus Sports Club, Shotton (see our contact page) until October 24th. From the 31st October 2018 to April 2019 we move to the astroturf at Mold Alun school. We play matches on Saturdays. Please text or email us if you want to bring your daughter along. No charge until your daughter decides to join (she will as we’re such good fun!). If you have any questions please let us know. Call Jonathan Fagan on 07500 704441.

Northop Hall Girls FC Under 10s
Northop Hall Girls FC Under 10s with a particularly large squad at the Kinmel Bay festival in November 2016.

The Under 11s team are in the Under 12s North Wales Girls League, playing football against teams in the North Eastern divisions.  We train on a Wednesday night at Mold Leisure Centre in the winter and at the Old Corus Sports Club in the summer (we switch over the week the clocks go back and forwards in March and October).

Last season (2017-2018) we took part in football festivals and matches at Bangor, Brickfield, Kinmel Bay, Rhyl, Llandudno, Flint, Northop Hall, Broughton Park, Buckley, Colwyn Bay and Airbus. We also played in the National Tournament in Skelmersdale and competitive tournaments on the Wirral and in Liverpool as well as Northop Hall’s own (the largest in North Wales!).

We are aiming to have a maximum squad of 14 girls in 2018-2019 and the games are 9 a side. The North Wales League is competitive at under 12s level but we still make sure every girl who plays gets as much game time as possible. About half of our players have never played football before they come to us and the other half have played in boys teams as well. We have a number of players who also turn out for Welsh representative sides.

We train in all weathers – as one of our coaches once said “if it isn’t Christmas Day then training is on!”.

We try to maintain a squad of 14 girls so 3 places still up for grabs at the moment. The under 11s team is suitable for any year 6 girls looking to play girls-only football, with or without experience. All abilities very welcome!  The North Wales league runs from September through to April, followed up with plenty of tournament football in May and June (we entered 5 tournaments in 2018, 4 tournaments in 2017 and 8 in 2016).

The coaches for 2018-2019 are Jonathan Fagan, Pete Molyneaux and John Griffiths, supported by Mandy Coutts.

If you want to get in touch with us, please email under11s@northophallgirlsfc.co.uk.
