Welcome to the Under 10s page of Northop Hall Girls FC – football for girls of all abilities
2018 news update: we are looking for girls who will be in year 5 and year 6 in September 2018 to join our under 10s and under 11s. Girls are invited to come along to training – have a go!
Northop Hall Girls FC run an under 9s team and an under 10s team in 2017-2018. Year 4 Girls will be the under 9s and Year 5 Girls will be under 10s.
If you would like to enquire about a place for your daughter please email firstname.lastname@example.org. Our annual subs are very low and the club is booming – over 130 girls and ladies are signed up to play in our various teams.
Training is currently on a Wednesday at Northop Hall Pavilion (in the winter we move to Mold Alun school). Please text or email us if you want to bring your daughter along. No charge until your daughter decides to join (she will as we’re such good fun!). If you have any questions please let us know. Call Jonathan Fagan on 07500 704441.
The Under 10s team are in the North Wales Girls League, playing football against teams as far away as Caernarfon. We train on a Wednesday night at Mold Leisure Centre in the winter and at the Northop Hall Pavilion in the summer (we switch over the week the clocks go back and forwards in March and October).
Last season (2016-2017) we took part in football festivals and matches at Bangor, Brickfield, Kinmel Bay, Rhyl, Llandudno, Flint, Northop Hall, Colwyn Bay and Airbus. We also played in the National Tournament in Skelmersdale and competitive tournaments in Rhyl, Llandudno and Northop Hall’s own (the largest in North Wales!).
We have a squad of 11 girls in 2017 and the games are 7 a side. The North Wales League is non-competitive at under 10 level and we make sure every girl who plays gets as much game time as possible. About half of our players have never played football before they come to us and the other half have played in boys teams.
We train in all weathers – as one of our coaches once said “if it isn’t Christmas Day then training is on!”.
We try to maintain a squad of 14 girls so 3 places at the moment. The under 10s team is suitable for any year 5 girls looking to play girls-only football, with or without experience. All abilities very welcome! The North Wales league runs from September through to April, followed up with plenty of tournament football in May and June (we entered 4 tournaments in 2017 and 8 in 2016).
The coach for 2017-2018 is Jonathan Fagan, supported by Mandy Coutts and Pete Molyneaux.
If you want to get in touch with us, please email email@example.com. We are always interested in arranging friendly games and travel well. School teams welcome.
